    Job Title

    Accountant

    Job Summary:

    This position is responsible for the daily, monthly and yearly compilation, reconciliation and analysis of the college's finance transactions and statements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
    • Prepares journal entries for corrections and adjustments.
    • Processes payroll, payables, and receivables in accordance with GAAP and College policy.
    • Monitors state, federal, and local grants, ensuring compliance and fiscal activity accuracy.
    • Reconciles investment activity, bank accounts, and prepares financial reports.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
    • Three to five years of progressively more responsible experience in accounting.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office financial products, especially Excel.

    Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
