    What You'll Do

    As a Senior Robotics Controls Engineer at Aescape you'll work with an incredibly talented cross-functional team of software engineers, roboticists, and product visionaries to create a one-of-a-kind experience for our partners and customers.
    • Develop control algorithms that are at the core of our massage therapy experience and enable the close interaction between people and robots.
    • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of software engineers, roboticists, product managers, and designers to deliver innovative solutions to unsolved problems.
    • Deliver high-quality, testable code.
    What You'll Bring
    • MS or PhD in computer science, robotics, controls, or a related field preferred.
    • 4 plus years of professional software development experience including developing control schemes for robotic manipulators.
    • Strong software development background in C++.
    • Background in mathematics, including experience with linear algebra & control theory.
    • Significant experience developing bridging the sim-to-real gap for robots.
    • In-depth knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices to generate code that is testable, maintainable, robust, and scalable.
    • Excellent communication skills and experience working in a collaborative environment.
    • Detail-oriented and results-driven with a strong desire to learn.
    • Experience with robotics concepts and frameworks such as ROS.
    Nice-to-have, but not required
    • Experience deploying code in a regulated environment (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, or a similar field) requiring certification and writing safety critical software.
    • Familiarity with one or more of the following: Optimal Control, Model-Predictive Control, State Estimation, Control Systems Theory.
    • Real-time software applications background.
    • Software/firmware in embedded environments experience.
    • Prior experience with robotic manipulation of deformable objects.
