Automation Testing Engineer

for a


CONTRACT
assignment with one of our premier

Regulatory

clients in

Rockville, MD

This position is 100% Remote

The main function of a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is to develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.

Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.

Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability.

Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.

Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content.

Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.

Create or maintain databases of known test defects.

Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates

Required


Skills :
Computer science fundamentals

algorithm design, problem solving, complexity analysis and data structures.

Testing process, test types, test design and testing methodologies


Languages:
Java, typescript

UI automation using Playwright, Selenium

Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks and test suites


SQL
API testing

Certified AWS developer or commitment to acquire certification

Perf testing with Gatling

Collaborate with other teams for integration/end-to-end testing

Collaborate and mentor other Juniors as needed

Preferred


Education :
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 7+ years of experience in software development and/or automated testing with new tools/technologies

Or

Master's degree in computer science with 5+ years of experience in software development and/or automated testing with new tools/technologies
