    Human Resources Generalist Duties and Responsibilities

    The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing all HR-related duties/functions. This position reports directly to the Chief People and Culture Officer. The position is a true generalist position and will provide exposure to all aspects of HR, including:

    • Federal and state policy compliance
    • Employee relations. (Providing a safe haven for employee concerns)
    • Payroll Processing for 300 exempt and non-exempt employees
    • Internal investigations and documentation
    • Benefits administration including ongoing enrollment and annual open enrollment.
    • Onboarding and offboarding of employees
    • Recruiting including
      • Sourcing
      • Creating job descriptions,
      • Interviewing
      • Qualifying candidates
    • Policy research, writing and development.
    • Workers' Compensation claims
    • 401K administration and enrollment

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • A stable work history
    • Excellent computer skills,
    • Working knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS),
    • Previous payroll processing experience
    • Strong Excel experience
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Bachelor's degree in human resources business, or a related field, or strong prior experience in human resources
    • Strong compliance experience
    • Conflict resolution skills
    • Working knowledge of 401k processes.
    • HR experience in an entrepreneurial organization preferred.
    • Ability to handle a high transaction work environment.
    • Positive "can do" attitude.
    • In depth knowledge of employment laws and best practices
    • Excellent Interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
