    Description

    Structures Technician (Fairings) at SpaceX

    About the Job: Join our team at SpaceX and be part of a mission to enable human life on Mars. As a Structures Technician (Fairings), you will work on modifying, repairing, assembling, and installing rocket and spacecraft components and subcomponents.


    • Responsibilities:
    • Modify, repair, assemble, and install rocket and spacecraft components and subcomponents
    • Align parts and secure in place using clecos or tooling/hand clamps
    • Install fasteners in correct sequence per drawing
    • Shim and/or trim parts as required
    • Select drill bits, reamers, and/or countersinking tools
    • Use solvents to clean surfaces prior to sealing or assembly

    • Basic Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
    • 1+ years of hands-on experience or a certificate from an accredited trade skills program

    • Preferred Skills and Experience:
    • Experience drilling, reaming, honing, and/or countersinking straight and close tolerance holes
    • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications

    • Additional Requirements:
    • Ability to pass Space Force background check for Cape Canaveral

    Shifts Available:
    • Day Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm
    • Night Shift: Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 2:30am

    • Compensation & Benefits:
    • Structures Technician/Level 1: $27.00/hour
    • Structures Technician/Level 2: $32.50/hour
    • Structures Technician/Level 3: $38.00/hour
