Our client is an AI company that's building foundational technology at the intersection of multimodal models, large-scale datasets, and frontier research is looking for a
Head of Sales
.

Their customers and partners include some of the biggest names in media and enterprise and this role is perfect for someone who already lives and breathes this ecosystem This brings will bring deep relationships, proven deal history, and the credibility to sell high-value AI data and dataset licenses to frontier labs.

This is a high-upside, commission-driven role designed for someone who knows how to close real AI infrastructure deals and can be remote or (ideally) based in San Francisco, reporting directly to the Founder/CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies
  • Own and close revenue opportunities with top-tier AI labs (e.g. OpenAI, Meta, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, etc.) is highly preferred
  • Sell AI datasets, data licensing agreements, and strategic data partnerships
  • Leverage existing relationships to accelerate deal cycles and unlock new partnerships
  • Work directly with leadership to shape pricing, deal structure, and go-to-market strategy
  • Travel to conferences and to meet clients where possible and to represent the business
  • Identify emerging data needs across multimodal models (video, audio, text, vision, hybrid)
  • Represent the company in high-level conversations with research, product, and procurement teams

Requirements:

  • Experience in GTM strategy, product marketing, or growth roles
  • Prior experience at a multimodal AI company (e.g. TwelveLabs, Moonshot, Runway, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience selling AI data or licensing datasets to large AI labs
  • Existing, personal relationships with decision-makers at major AI labs (OpenAI, Meta, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of how frontier models are trained and how data is evaluated, sourced, and licensed
  • Proven ability to close complex, high-value enterprise or research-driven deals
  • Experience negotiating custom licensing terms, exclusivity, or long-term data partnerships
  • Familiarity with dataset compliance, provenance, and model training requirements
  • Background working with research teams, not just procurement or BD
  • Comfort operating in stealth environments with minimal marketing collateral
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable with ambiguity and ownership
