- Certificate for Certified Peer or Recovery Specialist Required
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- 12 college credits in Behavioral Health/Human Services preferred.
- Must be computer literate and possess strong de-escalation skills.
- Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) desired.
- One year experience working with Participants desired.
- Knowledge of 12 Step Recovery Models & AA and NA programs
- Knowledge of Recovery Management and Transformation Model
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques
- Knowledge of the motivational interviewing process
- Able and competent to facilitate step lectures
- Able to communicate with consumers on an appropriate level
- Able to document in a clear and concise fashion
- Able to utilize, update & maintain electronic health records (E.H.R.)

We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Peer/ Recovery Specialist to Join Our Team
The Community Recovery Specialist (CRS) will provide support to Participants in the intensive outpatient and outpatient programs. They will provide 1:1 peer counseling during treatment and aftercare support for one year following completion of the program. The recovery specialist is responsible (along with other team members) for establishing a therapeutic milieu that promotes the engagement of the Participants in the treatment process. The specialist is responsible for observing Participants' behavior and documenting observations. The community recovery specialist will provide telephonic, mail and home-based support to Participants. Specialists will conduct interviews within the prison and develop transition plans for Participants reentering the community.
