    Overview


    AmTrust Financial Services, a fast-growing commercial insurance company, is seeking a Forensic Accountant to respond to the needs of our customers.

    As part of the Property line of business, the Forensic Accountant will be responsible for providing financial consultant services to Commercial Property adjusters on claims involving loss of business income and extra expense.

    Responsibilities

    Lead forensic evaluation / analysis of time element claims, including business interruption, extra

    expense, employee theft

    and inventory loss.

    Work in partnership with adjusters, insureds, finance, and others to quantify and evaluate damages or losses sustained.
    Create and deliver training materials to develop the skills of Commercial Property adjusters.
    Management and evaluation of outside accounting resources.
    Develop procedures to drive a desirable experience from a customer service perspective.
    Collaborate with underwriting and other business partners to provide subject matter expertise.
    Perform other functional duties as requested or required.

    Qualifications

    5+ years of prior experience measuring time element claims, including business interruption, extra expenses, inventory, and employee theft.
    Bachelor's degree in accounting
    Strong focus delivering outstanding customer service
    Excellent analytical skills
    Must possess the ability to communicate complex information in a mentoring/training situation.
    Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
    Candidate must be able to work independently and be able to manage a fluctuating claim load

    Preferred:
    CPA a plus
    Certified Fraud Examiner and/or Certified Financial Forensics designations
    Easily adapts to new or changing situations, requirements, or priorities
    Ability to travel to internal and external meetings as business needs arise
