Job summary
Under the direct supervision of the modality or department leader, the Diagnostic Imaging Aide coordinates the activities of the department through communication, requisitioning and managing supplies equipment staff Interacts communicates with personnel from various departments and support services as well as public and department coworkers Provides administrative clerical support to the department Demonstrates knowledge competency in completing assigned duties responsibilities according to established protocols for procedures being performed Has knowledge of various procedures understands use implications when imaging contrast is being used Reviews lab work values IV contrast studies medical terminology patient history Maintains consistent records billing appropriate tracking accounts patients film sign/out log responds timely film requests Appropriately rescheduling guests/patients maintaining system cancellations pathology etc Greets patients guests arrival gives complete accurate instructions communicated clear concise manner fill out necessary paperwork pertaining tests Reviews completes pending report log along with failed faxes Retrieves needed patient related documents computer Radiologist staff Retrieve disseminate imaging medical records Follows network policy patient identification assists placing patients procedure table using body mechanics lifting pushing pulling assisting needs Provide clerical support clinical team critical value reporting Stocks cleans rooms necessary records temperature refrigerator warmer puts away supplies breakdown cardboard empties linen/garbage needed Observes patients holding area assists transferring transporting safely adheres Falls Prevention protocols Maintains adequate supply materials daily use Helps organize maintain clean safe work environment Complies hospital local state federal regulatory accrediting standards department specific protocols policies Participates continuing education completes required E-Learning assigned Other duties projects assigned Adheres HMH Organizational competencies standards behavior
