    We are currently seeking a well-qualified individual with the necessary skills to fill the role of Engineering within the firm. We are looking for people who like to work with their hands, do not mind getting dirty, and can work outside. You should also be able to work on a computer and be able to use math to accurately calculate field data. You will be joining growth-minded professionals dedicated to providing solutions to complex construction materials, geotechnical and environmental challenges.     Job Duties:

    • Ability to have flexible hours depending on client demands for night work or early morning schedules
    • "What will I be doing on a daily basis?"
      • You will be outside for a part of the day sampling soils, concrete, aggregate, and asphalt. You will also be inside at some point to enter your test information into field forms and use various formulas to report data.
    • "What are the general performance requirements I can expect?"
      • You can expect to be walking on a variety of surfaces including uneven terrains, surfaces that are slippery, muddy, frozen, or wet, and sometimes surfaces that range from flat to very steep. The minimum estimated requirements for lifting, carrying, and pushing is 20 pounds. The maximum for lifting is 50 pounds, for carrying is 40 pounds, and for pushing is 60-80 pounds. You can expect to be climbing ladders, scaffolding, and stairs; you'll be responsible for operating equipment such as lifts, coring equipment, concrete mixers, compression machines, beam breaking machines, hammer drills, and saws.

    Qualifications:

    • Current Georgia DOT certifications such as ACI Certifications and ICC soils
    • Must have current radiation safety and use of Nuclear Gauges
    • Must have NICET Level 1 or 2 in soils, concrete, asphalt also desired
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Experience with Department of Transportation work preferred
    • Experience on large and small projects
