- Accountable and responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery.
- Is familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations and assists dietitian with monitoring of patients who are NPO, on liquid diets or need to have intake recorded.
- Accurately reports information to members of the department team and other members of Washington Health System.
- Completes and demonstrates competency in all technical skills and patient care procedures as delegated according to established Washington Health System Core Dining Assistant Skills & Responsibilities.

Job DescriptionThe Dining Assistant is responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery. The Dining Assistant is responsible for meeting and maintaining established food service protocols.
Responsibilities:
Union/Start Rate = $17.87/hr. PLUS INCREASE AFTER 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT, AND SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS FOR AFTER 10:30AM AND WEEKEND SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS
Shift: Rotating daylight and afternoon shifts between 5AM-7PM, including but not limited to 5AM-1:30PM, 5:30AM-2PM, 6AM-2:30PM, 10:30AM- 7PM, and 3:30PM-7PM. Must be available to work between 5AM-7PM. Rotating holidays and weekends required.
