Summary

The Nursing Assistant is assigned as a member of the nursing team in the Community Living Center (CLC) on a regular basis. The Nursing Assistant is assigned appropriate resident care skills, is able to observe basic changes in Resident's status, and communicate changes to the Team Leader. The Nursing Assistant is closely supervised and under the direction of the Team Leader. The CLC Nursing Assistant demonstrates a positive attitude and is able to communicate effectively.

Duties

Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Performs a variety of assigned care and procedures with directions from the professional nurse.

Observes, reports, and records stable changes in resident's condition.

Positions residents, maintains proper body alignment for resident safety, comfort, and provides skin care - paying particular attention to pressure areas.

Provides for adequate nutrition and hydration of resident according to interdisciplinary plan of care.

Recognizes and reports physical and behavior changes with the assistance of the Team Leader.

Demonstrates empathy towards residents emotional needs.

Participates in nursing and interdisciplinary care conferences.

Plans and organizes work and establishes priorities of care as directed by the Team Leader.

Exercises responsibility to maintain a clean and safe physical environment. Detects equipment in need of repair and reports unsafe conditions.

Work Schedule: 1130pm-8am with rotating days off every 3rd weekend off.
