    Job Summary

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Campus Safety Professional to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our campus community.

    Responsibilities

    ">
    • Enforcement and Compliance: Enforce all applicable laws, regulations, and university policies to maintain a safe and secure environment on campus.
    • Citizen Contact and Community Policing: Engage with students, faculty, staff, and visitors to build trust and foster positive relationships within the campus community.
    • Crime Prevention and Investigation: Conduct proactive patrols, investigate crimes, and prepare detailed reports to support investigations and prosecution.
    • Emergency Response and Crisis Management: Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, provide critical support during crises, and participate in emergency response planning and training.
    • Maintenance of Records and Reports: Maintain accurate records and reports related to incidents, arrests, and other safety-related activities.
    • Participation in Training and Development: Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and evidence-based policing practices.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you must have a strong commitment to community policing and a passion for building positive relationships with diverse populations. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times.

    Preferred Qualifications

    ">

    Two years of law enforcement experience, preferably in an academic setting, would be advantageous. A comprehensive working knowledge of criminal justice systems and processes, as well as proficiency in written and verbal communication, would also be beneficial.
