    JOB-6893Systems Administrator 4Carson City, NVContractLink Technologies ), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Systems Administrator 4.

    This position will assist in various domains to aid the operations center in various tasks, supporting ongoing projects and development endeavors.

    The selected individual must be available for the standard 8:00 am to 5:00 pm shift and be willing to assist with additional tasks after hours and on weekends as needed to meet project deadlines.

    REQUIREMENTSMinimum three (3) years of experience with installation, maintenance, and support of IBM WebSphere Application Server.
    Minimum three (3) years of experience with installation, maintenance, and support of IBM DB2 database.
    Minimum three (3) years of experience with the maintenance and support of IBM FileNet.

    Minimum three (3) years of experience with the maintenance and support of IBM Datacap, including Task Master, Rule Runner, and associated IIS components.

    Minimum three (3) years of experience with command line shells such as bash and ksh, as well as scripting.
    PREFERRED3+ years' experience with IBM MQ maintenance and support.
    Experience with other IBM / WebSphere products.
    Experience with Perforce Helix Core.
    Experience with CA Workload Automation.

    SCOPE OF WORKSupporting system administrators in the application of patches and upgrades to middleware components within the business environment, encompassing WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ, FileNet, and DB2, among others.

    Aiding in FileNet suite management, cleanup, and maintenance of FileNet security policies concerning the scanning of sensitive documents.

    Providing assistance to vendor staff involved in ongoing projects, including configuring WebSphere family products, conducting log reviews, troubleshooting, and performing service or server restarts as required.

    DELIVERABLESMust possess the skill set to fulfill the following responsibilities for each project or activity they are assigned to:

    System documentation:
    help with the system and database administrators in generating and maintaining comprehensive system documentation for ongoing projects, systems, databases, and development initiatives

    System administration:
    assist system administrators in various tasks, including but not limited to middleware installation and application of fix packs. They will also aid in monitoring application servers, web servers, file servers, content repositories, and various middleware.


    Database administration:
    assist DBAs in tasks such as creating, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing existing databases

    Performance tuning:
    responsible, either wholly or partially, for ensuring optimal performance of systems and databases; involves monitoring system and database performance using provided tools, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance performance

    Training and support:
    support staff by developing training materials, conducting training sessions, and providing ongoing support to junior system administrators and DBAs in areas where skill gaps exist and align with the candidate's expertise

    Weekly work activity log:
    maintain a weekly log documenting their activities throughout the engagement. Weekly status meetings will be conducted to review the work activity log, discuss accomplishments, address challenges, and set goals.
