    Position Summary:
    The Controller role at Wilson Medical Center, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), involves establishing and maintaining effective accounting systems to provide accurate financial information. This position also plays a crucial role in financial analysis, cost reduction, cash flow improvement, and revenue enhancement. Responsibilities include overseeing finance department operations, budgeting, reimbursement, and productivity reporting. Strong communication skills are essential for providing financial advice and assisting department heads in interpreting data and reports.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Defines and implements department goals and objectives aligned with Wilson Medical Center's mission and values
    • Manages department operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance
    • Develops and mentors department personnel, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance management
    • Communicates and collaborates effectively with various stakeholders, including executive management, staff, physicians, and vendors
    • Oversees procurement, maintenance, and skill development related to computer systems and equipment
    • Maintains professional competence through ongoing education and development
    • Performs additional duties and special projects as required

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, minimum five years of management experience with a strong accounting background in healthcare. MBA or CPA preferred. Previous experience in a for-profit hospital setting is highly desirable.
