    The Kinsley Group is seeking a Controller to join their team The Controller is responsible for supervising and organizing various financial functions, including financial reporting, monthly and annual financial closings, financial planning and analysis, billing, banking, payroll, benefits costing and payments, and accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

    Additionally, they oversee the employees performing these tasks, all while upholding and exhibiting the company's core values.

    Controller Requirements and Responsibilities:
    Accurate financial report preparation in compliance with regulatory agencies, US GAAP requirements, and all local, state, and federal laws

    Manage the revenue recognition practices including contact accounting estimates at completion (EAC) in compliance with US GAAP and working with the project management team.

    Lead the annual budget preparation in coordination with the CFO, year-end/month-end closes & reviews, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial transactions
    Provide monthly variance analysis and work with department owners to explain variances
    Lead and drive process improvements with the finance supervisors to improve transactional efficiency
    Coordinate and supervise general accounting activities, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
    Perform research and investigation of transactions affecting financial data, formulate recommendations, and implement them
    Assist with administration of the company's 401k plan and Health Savings Accounts
    Assist in salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity
    Provide daily planning, organization, direction, and coordination of financial groups
    Supervise purchasing, credit approval, payroll, and cash flow processes
    Establish appropriate financing for day-to-day operating needs and monitor cash flow and working capital
    Coordinate annual reviews with external auditors
    Manage internal and external relationships with accountants, bankers, collection agencies, insurance agents, attorneys, vendors, and agencies
    Perform other related duties as required

    Preferred Controller Skills and Experience:
    Five+ years of experience managing an accounting staff, including hiring, training, directing, and evaluating employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
    Proficient in AR, AP, GL, sales tax preparation and filing, financial reporting, banking, payroll, and internal auditing
    Strong analytical skills, utilizing various business math formulas and statistical equations to interpret reports.
    Effective problem-solving skills, identifying and resolving issues promptly
    Experience with Great Plains Accounting software and payroll systems like Paychex and ADP preferred
    Has the ability to maintain confidentiality
    Proficiency in business computing, excel, financial reporting software, and PowerBI
    Cost-consciousness, working within budgets and implementing cost-saving measures
