- Ensure all personnel receiving
COMSECmaterial are enrolled in the Cryptographic Access Program (CAP). - Establish controls to ensure only properly cleared personnel with a legitimate need are permitted access to
COMSECmaterial. - Issue
COMSECmaterial only to appropriately cleared and authorized individuals whose duties require it; advise them of their responsibility for properly safeguarding and controlling the
COMSECmaterial in their possession. - Establish a comprehensive user-training program for all
COMSECResponsible Officers (CROs), Secure Voice Responsible Officers (SVROs), and their alternates - Ensure CROs and SVROs conduct user training for all personnel having access to
COMSECmaterial. - Ensure users write
COMSECStandard Operating Procedures and coordinate it with the
COMSECmanager. - Perform a semiannual assessment/audit of both the
COMSECaccount and all user accounts. - Provide CROs with applicable status information for the key they are issued.
- Process electronic messages received via KMI and take necessary actions to correct any discrepancies.
- Provide users guidance on shipping COMSEC-accountable equipment.
- Distribute keying material to user organizations when needed.
- Assist users in obtaining COMSEC-accountable Cryptographic Controlled Item (CCI) equipment in support of program/mission requirements.
- Ensure the
COMSECaccount maintains minimum on-hand requirements and holds only
COMSECmaterial that is mission essential. - Maintain
COMSECaccount files and prepares and submits accounting reports to the AF COR as required. - Maintain hand receipt records of all
COMSECmaterial issued to users. - Ensure realistic Emergency Action Plans (EAP) exist at all user locations.
- Receive/send packages via Defense Courier Service (DCS) and ensure all material received reconciles with material listed on the transfer report.
- Implement a comprehensive training program within the
COMSECaccount - Assist supported controlling authorities when conducting crypto-systems management revalidations and surveys

COMSECSpecialist to establish controls for
COMSECmaterials, assist and guide users in
COMSECaccess, and conduct audits to ensure procedures are followed at Hanscom AFB
This is a full-time position
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
COMSECsupport
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Additional work experience may be substituted for degree requirements
Must be Security+ CE certified
Must be certified in Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) operations and equipment
Familiar with directives concerning
COMSECmaterial and able to ensure all
COMSECmaterial issued to or held by the account is safeguarded and controlled according to the requirements of applicable Air Force, NSA, and associated specialized
COMSECpublications and operational security doctrine for the associated
COMSECequipment or system
Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD and applicable Federal Information Assurance Directives and Instructions
Must meet the full criteria under DoD Directive Information Assurance Management
Able to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
Must have strong team partnership and customer service skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to maintain a flexible schedule
Mist be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance
