    The IMCBA Groundskeeper role OFFERS YOU:

    • Seasonal position to start, but could work into a long term opportunity.

    Shift Times

    Sunday - Wednesday 6 - 4:30 P.M. Canal

    free-parking available to all employees

    Position Summary

    Groundskeeper reports to and takes direction from Grounds Supervisor and is responsible for the cleanliness and maintaining grounds and landscapes.

    Duties/Responsibilities

    • Perform mowing, trimming, pruning, watering, and spray operations of grass, flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs at all properties that are managed by the Building Authority.
    • Assist in planting annual flowers, trees, and shrubs.
    • Spread mulch in and around all beds.
    • Assist in snow removal, ice removal, and salt spreading, parking lot and walkways
    • Assist with irrigation system maintenance.
    • Upkeep and maintenance of lawn care and snow removal equipment.
    • Wear required PPE
    • Comply with EPA chemical application regulations and Building Authority's policies procedures and safety regulations.
    • Driving to different properties that are managed by the Building Authority, with lawn care equipment in tow.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by Grounds Supervisor.

    For 65 years the Indianapolis-Marion County Building Authority (IMCBA) has been proudly serving the city of Indianapolis. We now maintain over 16 properties in and around downtown Indianapolis. Our newest property, the Community Justice Center, is a state-of-art facility dedicated to a modern, holistic, data-driven approach to the Indianapolis Justice system. We are seeking this position due to our growth.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. Ability to pass a background check (criminal history check)
    2. Valid Driver's License since you may be required to drive company vehicles.
    3. Must be willing to work holidays and come in during unscheduled times.
    4. Must be willing to clean property which may involve cleaning up feces, needles, condoms and any other trash.
    5. Landscaping knowledge and recent prior professional experience
    6. Familiarity with CMMS Software/Computers a plus
