    OverviewSystem administrators (or sysadmin or systems administrator) are responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers.

    They install hardware and software, and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of their organization.

    System administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.

    ResponsibilitiesEssential DutiesAdministrate and support IT technology platformsMaintain, monitor, and troubleshoot IT systemsOwn escalations of end-user tickets from the IT Support teamOwn user auditing and access level auditing for IT systemsMaintain, monitor, and administer endpoint management softwareOversee creation of documentation for IT systemsCreate and document processes and procedures for change requestsManage deployment of new systems from design to implementationManage security posture for IT systemsLeverage IT tools to automate solutions for repetitive tasksManage implementation of various infrastructure projects, such as hardware upgrades and system implementations, from start to completionInteract with third-party vendors for support as neededProvide support for onsite executive meetings as neededQualificationsSkills RequirementsExperience managing Microsoft infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, MS SQL Server.

    Experience analyzing symptoms for accurate isolation of user and network problemsComputer/networking systems planning skills.
    Ability to install and maintain personal computers, and networks.
    Knowledge of current technological developments in area of expertise.
