RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, deploy and maintain Hotwire's EGP, IGP, MPLS, IPv6, CGNAT, and PIM strategies
Identify, research and close network vulnerabilities
Provide strong technical leadership to senior engineers and technical resources from other departments
Participate of the on-call rotation as the senior escalation resource from Engineering (backing up the primary on-call)
Assess network risks and perform contingency planning


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
3-5 years as Sr. Network Engineer in a service provider in a similar role
5-10 years of relevant IP networking experience working for service providers or Telecom vendor
Excellent understanding of BGP and OSPF including daily operations of both protocols for large networks
Strong understanding and practical experience with IP Multicast Networks
Metro-ethernet services experience (L2 & L3 VPNs)
Self-motivated and directed, with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills


Preferred:
Understanding of IPTV, preferably Mediaroom or Android TV and video compression/distribution
