The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) is seeking a highly skilled and expert level DevOps Engineer.

The ITS III (DevOps Engineer) will work with OIG leadership, managers at all levels, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and other outside stakeholders and advise on best practices, recommendations, and leading major projects critical to the operations of OIG.

The DevOps Engineer will lead the migration of Kubernetes environment from on-premises to Azure clous.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in full-stack development, particularly in the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack, and have a strong background in Linux administration, Kubernetes, cloud computing, and an understanding of Jenkins and Jira for project management and continuous integration.

This position involves managing, tuning, and analyzing systems in various environments, including physical, cloud, and virtual settings. The role also encompasses webmaster responsibilities, focusing on web performance, accessibility, troubleshooting, and SEO optimization. The ideal candidate should demonstrate effective communication skills and be capable of leading and mentoring.
