    Our client is looking for a Manager of Global Trade Compliance.

    This role will give you the opportunity to be part of a global team, which has the responsibility to ensure that global business is conducted in compliance with the various international export control laws and regulations, sanctions, and customs regulations.

    You'll work closely with senior management in a fast and result driven, global company.

    You will be hands-on in developing the trade compliance program, policies, and procedures, and provide trade compliance guidance and training to increase compliance awareness within the organization.

    This role reports to the Senior Director of Global Trade Compliance, in the legal department.

    This is an individual contributor position, with a fast-growing global leader in the semiconductor industry.

    In this role you will:

    • Assess, update, and execute the global trade compliance program for one of the world's leading wafer production equipment suppliers.
    • Work closely with engineering teams to classify items such as hardware, technology, and software from export control, and determine the applicable export control jurisdiction(s).
    • Contribute to the implementation of the global strategy for Sanction & Export Controls; codevelop supporting policies and procedures.
    • Manage compliance regulations updates and changes relevant to our business.
    • Support investigations, audits, and risk assessments of export control, sanctions, program functions, root cause analysis on deficiencies, and the development and management of resulting corrective action plans and appropriate policies and procedures.
    • Manage the Technology Control Plan globally. Maintain and improve the TCP globally.
    • Collaborate with engineers to identify new and enhanced technologies/software and assess applicable export control requirements.
    • Maintain and enhance the proper policies and procedures to ensure export control measures with respect to deemed (re)export, technology transfer or access, software delivery, etc.
    • Classify items for export control classification number ECCN
    • Work cooperatively and proactively with various functions to ensure compliance with all relevant export, customs, sanctions, laws and regulations.
    • Establish a strong relationship with team members to ensure the cooperation and assistance for successful implantation of export controlrelated projects
    • Develop and educate internal clients on trade compliance best practices.
    • Contribution to the implementation of the Global Strategy for Export Controls and Sanctions and codevelop supporting policies and procedures.
    • Implementation of policies and procedures to safeguard compliance with our Global Export Control Strategy and Sanctions.
    • Manage the Technology Control Plan globally. Maintain and improve the TCP globally

    Minimum Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in International Business or a relevant field.
    • 6+ years of experience in trade compliance/export controls
    • Experience implementing a Technology Control Plan (TCP)
    • Subject matter expertise on Export Administration Regulations (EAR) with respect to technology and software.
    • Knowledge of the EAR latest rules in China such as MEU, MIEU, etc.
    • Experience in ECCN classification.
    • Strong analytical skills, able to translate complex business issues into simple problem statements as well as clear processes and actions.
    • Exceptional standards of integrity and ethics, and building stakeholder relationships.
    • Able to balance a curious and strategic mindset for influencing change in trade and export controls
    $150,000 - $155,000 a year

    We take into account an individual's qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary.

    This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company's bonus and equity programs, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave.

    The expected base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $155,000 plus bonus and equity.

    The actual offer will be at the company's sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate's qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
