    Utah Transit Authority - Facilities Maintenance Technician

    Job Overview:

    Join the Utah Transit Authority team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician! In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing the company's buildings, equipment, machinery, and grounds. Your expertise in skilled trades like electrical work, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems, mechanical repairs, and construction will be vital in repairing, building, and remodeling physical structures. Additionally, you'll be involved in basic plumbing tasks and the installation of support equipment. You'll play a key role in performing preventive maintenance and general upkeep of all physical facilities and associated support equipment. Be prepared for some overtime work and occasional snow and ice removal duties!

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Three years of supervised work experience in Facilities Maintenance, Electrical, HVAC/Refrigeration, or Plumbing.
    • Completion of a relevant Trade Program or apprenticeship.
    • Valid Utah driver's license and ability to obtain a Class A CDL.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    Experience:

    • To qualify, you should have expertise in areas such as industrial electrical work, refrigeration/HVAC systems, power tool usage, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Welding and soldering knowledge is a plus.
    • This position requires consistent attendance.

    Working Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with Friday/Saturday or Sunday/Monday off.

    Pay Rate: $34.70 per hour
