    We are seeking experienced Vice President of CAT Operations who has a track record of serving others to handle property CAT claims for client-specific programs. Maintaining an overall positive and respectful business culture and operating with integrity at all times is essential.

    As a Vice President of CAT Operations, you will oversee the daily and long-term operations of a claims department(s) to effectively analyze claims information, determine coverage, and settle losses for client programs. You must have strong leadership skills with a high level of empathy and integrity, and the ability to set and maintain high standards.

    Responsibilities
    • Coaches managers on leading their teams on claims handling, reviewing work quality and responding to escalations.
    • Collaborates with leadership colleagues from cross functional Crawford departments to ensure efficiency and proper prioritization of initiatives.
    • Responsible for achievement of assigned goals, strategic initiatives, and scorecard deliverables.
    • Plans, organizes, and deploys resources to deliver the appropriate client service.
    • Enhances team strength by hiring, coaching and mentoring direct reports. Provides career development and professional growth opportunities.
    • Accountable for ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Provides guidance on technical matters.
    • Identifies trends and develops action plans as appropriate.
    • Delivers financial goals for their respective client-specific programs.
    • Inspires a high-performance team that works to deliver exceptional experiences to the clients.
    • Oversees and directs timely communications with insureds about coverage and claims process. Ensures accurate claim file documentation is maintained.
    • Implements processes to monitor achievement of required Service Level Agreements "SLA" as set forth by client and/or Crawford for claim handling process.
    • Directs the distribution of work to adjusters and holds individuals accountable to expected case load.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuing education.
    • Always upholds the Crawford Code of Business Conduct.
    • Participates in special projects or performs duties in other areas as requested.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or other discipline directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
    • 12 years of experience in operations, with applicable P&C claims experience.
    • 5 years of leadership experience in the claims industry.
    • Requires travel and overnight stays which may be for extended periods of time during a catastrophe events.
    • In-depth knowledge of insurance coverages, insurance terminology and practices, and the claims handling process.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Expertise in the use of property and/or casualty claims handling software.
    • Strong account management and client relationship skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
