    Responsibilities

    •We need an attorney who can contribute to developing the strategy of a case and who knows where to find the rules of procedure to back up that case strategy

    •We need an attorney who knows how to find your way around the courtroom and how to project confidence and competence when dealing with people on behalf of clients

    •If you see a case file as an opportunity to help someone build a new life, you'll like the way we think

    •Skills and experience are important and valued, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations

    •Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients

    •Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed

    •Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases

    •Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date

    •Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action

    Qualifications

    •Previous family law experience is highly desired - previous litigation experience required

    •Experience in estate planning and probate is highly desired

    •Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience

    •Seasoned Family Law Attorney applicants are highly desired

    •Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations

    •Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)

    •Bachelor's degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required

    •Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants

    •Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred
