    P1 Construction, LLC., is seeking an Industrial Controls Engineer Intern for summer 2024 for our St. Joseph, Missouri office. This is a paid seasonal position.

    Job Summary:
    Learn about systems integration projects related to industrial controls.
    Interface with systems engineers to understand the relationship of electrical and mechanical design.
    Gain experience communicating with Vendors and Customers.
    Interns are paid P1 employees.

    Documentation

    Provide an overview documenting curriculum of topics studied during internship.
    Provide details of tasks learned during internship.
    Provide feedback about curriculum.
    Collaborate with leader to improve processes.


    Position Qualifications and Skills:

    Education:
    Current enrollment in a degree program related to engineering, computer science, or construction.
    Must have completed a minimum of 1 year towards the degree.
    High school diploma or GED equivalent required.


    Experience:
    Must have general exposure to electrical / programming related to this position.
    Must be interested in pursuing a career related to industrial controls.
    Housing assistance is not provided. Must be able to obtain residence in the area.
    Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
    Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check.

    Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age.

    Must possess a valid driver's license.

    Must have access to drive a well maintained vehicle.

    Must have up to date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles.

    Both the candidate and the vehicle must be currently covered on a personal insurance policy.
