    We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time, day position.

    Job Description:

    • Assists in directing nursing services for the unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to the Nursing Practice Act.
    • Delegates duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitors their work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
    • Observes patients for symptoms and reactions, including general physical and mental condition, for signs indicative of adverse changes.
    • Notifies attending physicians of emergencies and patient deaths in the unit. Implements changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

    • High school graduate.
    • Licensed Practical Nurse with a degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
    • Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, submitted every two years for renewal.
    • Willing to work as charge nurses and during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
    • Able to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and show genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
    • CPR certified annually.
    • Attends in-service training and staff meetings as required.
