Our Purpose
At Pexapark, we empower renewable energy players to thrive in post-subsidy markets. Keeping renewable investments attractive is our contribution to a more sustainable world.
The journey began in August 2017, when energy traders Michael Waldner and Luca Pedretti, together with software entrepreneur Florian Müller, set out with the purpose of accelerating the energy transition towards net zero by creating an efficient market for renewable energy.
We create transparency, standardize methodologies, and help to educate the industry. We also digitize the route to market and provide a complete software suite. Our vision is to be the Operating System that empowers renewable energy players to have an edge in post-subsidy markets.
Pexapark is now looking to further expand the success story to the U.S. market on the back of a recent 21 million USD Series C funding round.
The Role
As the Quant Modeler at Pexapark USA, you will be responsible for the development, enhancement and deployment of the core technology underpinning our award-winning software products.
Pexapark vision is to make renewable power markets more efficient. We do so by providing software to manage renewable investment globally and providing reference prices and market intelligence for renewables. More than 15'000 MW of renewable capacity runs on our software already while our data, prices and insights are used by more than 200 leading renewable investors across 20 markets. Pexapark is pioneering a new software category, has revolutionized the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) markets and is the upcoming price reference-setting body in the European market.
Serving as a subject matter expert and lead quant modeler in the U.S., you will spearhead the development, enhancement and deployment of quantitative models that empower leading renewable energy investors to price PPAs and manage renewable price risks.
As part of the Quantitative Methodology team, you will tackle a diverse array of modeling and optimization challenges aimed at assisting Pexapark's clients in addressing a wide spectrum of investment topics, ranging from asset and complex hedging valuation to optimal portfolio allocation.
