    Description

    Overview

    Bering Global Solutions (BGS), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is looking for a qualified Cyber Security Engineer (SIEM/SOAR) for Washington D.C. In this role, you'll dive into various enterprise security technologies that play crucial roles like vulnerability scanning, malware detection, network intrusion prevention, and more.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure proper implementations of Cloud Security best practices and design patterns.
    • Work closely with multiple business units for log ingestion, data enrichment, and automation via the SIEM/SOAR platform.
    • Support the Security Operations Center (SOC) for advanced SIEM queries and analytic alerts.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or relevant work experience.
    • 2+ years' experience as a Security Engineer or SOC Analyst.
    • 2+ years of SIEM/SOAR Engineering Experience.
    • Proficiency in SIEM technologies and operations.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    Required Certifications

    • CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Azure certs, DOD IAT Level 1 Certification.
    • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, RSA Netwitness, Splunk.

    Additional Skills

    • Experience with SOAR platforms and programming languages.
    • Project management experience with Agile (Kanban/Scrum).
    • Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and Microsoft security tools.

    Necessary Physical Requirements

    The role demands mental alertness and occasional bending, stooping, or standing.

    Work Environment

    Primarily office-based with occasional travel.

    Shareholder Preference

    BSNC offers preference to shareholders and their descendants/spouses.

    Additional Qualifications

    Pre-employment drug screening and background check required. Military clearance may be necessary.
