JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIESThe Machine Operator is responsible for:
Operating various milling, fabrication and turning machinery and equipment, as assigned, to manufacture parts to required specificationsInspecting completed work to ensure accuracy to the required specifications and completing assigned inspection and job traveler paperworkEnsuring finished parts move to the next operation upon completion Informing Machining Lead of any problems or improvements of the manufacturing processGeneral workmanship including deburring and cleaning finished partsMaintain good housekeeping practices including cleaning work area and inspection equipmentOther tasks as assignedJOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTSHigh School education or equivalentBasic math skills and basic blue print readingBasic understanding of machine program and ability to make tool offsetsUse of SDS sheets and basic machine shop safetyMust be able to stand at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds
