Directs and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines and systems " Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process " Oversees installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water and steam systems " Evaluates mechanical products to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency " May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions Responsibilities Maintain the serviceability of plant wide utilities, water, sewer, gas and electric.
Responsible for site fire protection. Responsible for site HVAC. Develop Capital Acquisition Requests and Statements of Work. Coordination with suppliers and contractors. Project management of assigned projects. Actively participate in maintaining assigned equipment through preventative and predictive tools. Serves as subject matter expert and develops a sense of ownership of assigned equipment and associated reliability. Serves in a reliability role to assist maintenance group as needed. Monitors reliability of assigned equipment utilizing data driven methods. Analyzes reliability data and implement action plans to improve asset availability. Performs failure investigations of assigned equipment.Champions equipment and maintenance process improvement Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Confers with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
Specifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering field required Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a relevant function
