    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg float pool position requiring a TN or compact RN license, prior travel experience, and BLS certification.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in the Med/Surg float pool across five units in a hospital setting
    • 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
    • Adult patient population with general medical-surgical cases
    • Staff-to-patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:6
    • Required to float to the emergency room as needed
    • Utilizes the Cerner EMR system
    • Weekend shifts required
    • Scheduling is managed by the unit
    • Participation in orientation on designated dates as assigned
    • Navy scrubs required for this position
    • May be required to float to multiple Med/Surg units and to the ER
    • Assignment is for 13 weeks
    • Patient population is adults aged 18 and over

    Requirements

    • Active TN or compact RN license required and must be on file for consideration
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience required
    • Prior travel nurse experience required
    • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
