    Laboratory Assistant

    Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

    $25.99 an hour - Full Time, Days. 40 hours a week.
    + $2.50 for evening and weekend shifts.

    Boulder Community Health is looking for a Laboratory Assistant. The team at Boulder Community Hospital (BCH) endeavors in various tasks to ensure patient needs are met efficiently. Apart from patient care, they handle specimen collection, processing, and result transmission. In addition to the mentioned duties, the responsibilities also include customer service, utilization of computer systems, clerical tasks, and technical procedures like phlebotomy, drug screen collection, and breath alcohol testing. New support staff members will start as Level 1.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or higher education
    • Six months general hospital experience OR
    • Graduation from a Medical Assistants program OR
    • Graduation from a laboratory training program preferred

    Responsibilities:

    • Collection and processing of laboratory specimens
    • Performing phlebotomy procedures as required
    • Accurate data entry and reporting
    • Providing excellent customer service
    • Lab testing, including reporting results and quality control
    • Urine Drug Screen collection
    • Breath Alcohol testing
    • Rapid Strep screens
