- Sets up and operates CNC machines to fabricate aircraft parts from extrusions.o Review set-up sheet, secure vise jaws/holding fixtures to machine bed, and load required cutting tools.o Observe machine operations for proper functioning. Edits programs when necessary to correctly fabricate parts.
- Requires frequent contact with Manufacturing Engineering to coordinate machine operations on tool proving and production parts.
- Uses hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, and precision measuring instruments such as scale, protractors, calipers, and micrometers.
- Responsible only for own work.
- Performs other related duties as required

Job Responsibilities:

Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Requires the use of blueprints and precision measuring instruments. Must be able to edit programs as necessary.
Experience:
One to three years sheet metal fabrication or related experience including six months orientation on CNC and/or NC machine operations
Working Conditions:
Typical shop conditions.
