    Cumberland Advisors seeks to add an experienced Full Stack Developer to work closely with the firm's Chief Innovation Officer. This role will enhance the firm's focus on the efficiency and scalability of the fixed income asset management business. This role will touch teams in trading, portfolio management, research and operations with a focus on building scalable tools.

    The ability to work independently, intelligently, accurately, and efficiently is paramount.

    The ideal candidate should also have experience managing and organizing significant data and building tools using that data.

    With the support of executive leadership, this position will:

    Deliver the vision, development, and advancement of our investment management systems with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and differentiation.

    Develop back-end infrastructure combined with a sufficient front-end interface for traders, portfolio managers, and internal stakeholders to efficiently accomplish complex workflows across thousands of accounts.

    Test and control new capabilities and monitor new roll outs to ensure accurate deliverables.

    Collaborate with internal investment professionals to determine if new tools and capabilities could make existing workflows more efficient and effective.

    Collaborate with other developer(s) to ensure contingency of systems, platforms, and deliverables.

    Requirements:

    7+ years experience developing solutions for internal business use.

    Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, though relevant technical experience may substitute for education.

    Prior experience within an asset management, investment management, RIA, or similar financial firm required.

    Strong ability to code within various languages including Python, JavaScript, C#, & MS SQL. Prior experience with PostgreSQL & Django a plus.

    Proficiency with FIX, API, and FTP connections preferred.

    An understanding of general fixed income terminology, pricing, and analytical knowledge is highly attractive.

    Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with business systems and investment teams.

    Strong risk-management skills including leveraging coding best practices for quality control and stress testing before delivery.

    Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to make decisions and recommendations.

    Self-motivated and driven to deliver exceptional high-impact solutions

    Experience with GWP/SS&C is also a plus.

    Location

    Candidates seeking hybrid environments in Sarasota FL are preferred. This role may be fully remote for the right candidate, though travel to the office on occasion may be required.
