Role Description

This is a contract, hybrid role located in Kamiah, ID, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Government Accountant will be responsible for managing public sector accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with government financial regulations, and preparing detailed financial reports. Daily tasks may include maintaining accurate records, analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and facilitating communication with government agencies and local organizations. The role will also involve working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure fiscal compliance and effective reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Government Relations and Local Government operations
• Effective Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in Analytical Skills for examining and interpreting financial documents
• Familiarity with Public Sector policies, regulations, and procedures
• Experience in budget preparation and financial reporting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field
• Proficiency in using accounting software and tools
• Ability to maintain attention to detail while working under deadlines
