Position Overview

OCI Restoration is seeking an experienced and motivated Restoration Crew Chief to lead water, fire, mold, and specialty mitigation projects in the field. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality restoration services while leading crews, managing job execution, and maintaining clear communication with customers and internal team members.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical mitigation knowledge, excellent documentation habits, and the ability to guide technicians through challenging and fast-paced restoration environments.

Key Responsibilities Field & Project Leadership

• Lead and supervise mitigation crews on water, fire, mold, and specialty mitigation projects
• Perform initial site assessments and develop mitigation plans in accordance with IICRC standards
• Oversee daily job execution, progress, and safety compliance
• Ensure mitigation work is completed efficiently, thoroughly, and to company standards
• Identify scope changes and communicate them promptly to management

Technical Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, controlled demolition, smoke and soot cleaning, mold remediation, and odor control
• Properly place, monitor, and adjust drying equipment
• Monitor moisture levels and document drying progress
• Maintain accurate job documentation including photos, moisture logs, daily notes, and reports
• Ensure all mitigation work complies with IICRC guidelines and company procedures

Team & Customer Management

• Train, mentor, and oversee mitigation technicians
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, and insurance representatives
• Set expectations with customers and provide updates throughout the project
• Maintain a calm, professional presence in high-stress situations

Equipment & Jobsite Management

• Ensure job sites remain clean, safe, and organized
• Load, unload, and manage company-provided mitigation equipment
• Employees provide their own basic hand tools
• OCI Restoration provides all mitigation equipment, specialty tools, PPE, and consumables
• Report equipment issues, losses, or maintenance needs

Qualifications & RequirementsRequired

• Minimum 2–3 years of mitigation/restoration experience
• Strong understanding of water mitigation processes and drying principles
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in various environments
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation, including nights and weekends as needed

Preferred

• IICRC Certifications (WRT required; ASD, FSRT, AMRT, or others a plus)
• Prior crew leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience with mitigation documentation and job reporting
• Background in construction, demolition, or restoration reconstruction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.96 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
