    We are looking to add new talent to our growing team We are currently seeking a Staff Civil Engineer 2 to support a variety of challenging multi-disciplinary engineering assessment and civil engineering design projects. These projects will include site-civil and geo-environmental assessments related to site-civil development, heavy industry, and waste management projects associated with Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR). This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business unit in a privately held company with over 60 years of preparing smart, integrated solutions for our clients. This is a full-time position located in our Independence, OH office.
    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
    In this position, you will:

    • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams, leadership, and nationwide company offices and client/project locations.
    • Work with and support technical leads on all aspects of the project to address client goals and objectives.
    • Support projects from scoping through final deliverables.
    • Support developing technical aspects of CCR and site-civil design projects including site grading, stormwater analysis, technical drawing and specifications, engineering/site-civil calculations, and report deliverables.
    • Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
    • Demonstrate interest in being coached and mentored in engineering skills and technical knowledge in support of CCR and site-civil engineering projects.
    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
    Minimum Skills and Requirements:
    • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
    • 2+ years of professional services consulting experience in engineering design supporting land development and/or geo-environmental, site-civil development, heavy industry, and waste management projects.
    • Familiarity with earthwork, site/civil, geotechnical, or stormwater aspects of residential/commercial/industrial projects.
    • Experience with Coal Combustion Residual (CCR) and industrial/solid waste management a plus.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient at writing technical reports to meet project requirements.
    • Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related design software, plus Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Strong organization skills and exceptional attention to detail is expected.
    • Must be willing to travel as needed to support clients, projects, and project team collaboration.
    Preferred Skills:
    • Master's degree a plus.
    • EIT/FE strongly preferred; Professional Engineering (PE) registration a plus.
    • Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Power BI a plus.
