$19 - $21 PER HOUR
1st Shift 6:30 am- 5 pm Monday to Thursday with Overtime on Friday as needed for production

Summary:

The painter role involves preparing surfaces and applying painting materials to exterior surfaces.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Masks glass, trim, and other parts not to be painted
• Cleans, sands, and readies surfaces for painting
• Cleans and maintains spray guns and painting equipment
• Ability to mix and match paints
• Ensure daily cleanup of work area
• Follow plans for correct product application

Required Education, Knowledge & Skills:

• Associate degree in auto body technology or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of automotive body repair and paint experience
• Maintain a safe work environment and meet productivity goals
• Complete required tests for respirator and physical ability
• Able to read safety rules and written directions
• Work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
• Independently carry out assignments to completion
• Perform simple shop math

Physical Requirements:

• Clear communication skills
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel
• Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision

Work Environment:

Manufacturing setting with exposure to fumes, noise, mechanical parts, and weather conditions.
