Job summary
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for rendering professional care to patients within the medical practice in support of the physician and as directed by the physician. This role will predominately assist with infusion functions but also provide coverage and support for all operations as needed.This includes assisting with onboarding new clinical service lines, overseeing ordering and inventory management for bio drugs at multiple locations, scheduling infusion services,
scheduling x-rays procedures lab tests hospital admissions maintaining charts in proper order responding to patient calls discussing with physicians returning calls documenting conversations on chart relieving other nurses as assigned keeping nurses station neat clean anticipating adequate inventory of supplies keeping knowledge skills current through continuing education assisting others when work is completed screening new patient calls establishing triage urgency obtaining insurance pre-certification performing venipuncture completing appropriate requisitions for lab work functioning within legal scope of nursing practice licensure adhering established policies procedures reporting errors commission omission refraining breaching confidential information ensuring HIPAA OSHA compliance.
