Norwood's child-centered education emphasizes creating a happy place of learning where each child is loved, nurtured, and challenged.

Ensuring each child is truly known, we recognize diversity as essential to supporting educational excellence and are dedicated to fostering a sense of dignity, belonging, and understanding across our community.

As a result, children flourish at Norwood as we tend to both hearts and minds. They love learning; they are creative and critical thinkers. They are confident in who they are, and they feel safe taking risks.

They are kind and caring people, who, fueled by our motto, How you lead your life matters , make helping others a priority in their lives.

Ideally, applicants should have at least two years of experience teaching middle grades Spanish courses using teaching methods that emphasize cultural authenticity and communicative activities that develop language proficiency.

Native fluency and familiarity with ACTFL benchmarks and standards are strongly preferred. Experience developing and implementing thematic units is helpful. Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.

Interested applicants should submit a cover letter and resume to Mike Risen, Associate Head of School and Head of Lower School, at No phone calls, please.
