The Senior Learning & Development Coordinator will sit on the Human Resources team and will be designing, developing, and implementing learning, performance management, and career development programs across the agency.
This leader will play a pivotal role in elevating our team members' skills and knowledge.The Senior Learning and Development Coordinator will focus on creating engaging and interactive learning experiences that align with our agency objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of curriculum design, performance development, career pathing, and a strong foundation in HR skills to contribute to the development of engaging and effective training programs.
Development Assessment
Primary point of contact for agency learning and development
Learn core skills and objectives required by roles across the agency to understand key required skills and drivers of performance, and create learning materials to develop prioritized skills
Establish relationships with business partners to stay aligned, forecast learning needs, and recommend learning and development solutions
Collaborate with department leaders to successfully onboard new hires with individualized, comprehensive new hire learning plans
Determine best methods for delivering training in person/virtual courses to support a hybrid work environment
Guide and advise on appropriate learning and competency strategies, processes, and tools
Train and Manage
Prepare and develop learning strategies and programs, including the creation and design of instructional material including job aids, videos, and interactive eLearning content
Conducting training sessions for team members using various methods such as in-person workshops, virtual sessions, and e-learning modules
Manage training delivery as an active trainer and through contracted resources
Develop train-the-trainer programs for specific curricula
Maintain LMS database and produce quarterly training reports outlining completed training, number of training hours, completion status reports, etc.
Performance Management
Redesign and administer performance review program to provide real time feedback and career development
Develop methodologies and processes for career pathing in critical skills
Participate succession planning, talent management, and professional development plans, for assigned functions
Partner with HR team to manage underperformance cases
Manage performance feedback process and reporting
Evaluation
Deliver and analyze training effectiveness and knowledge transfer
Create and report key metrics for management review
Review training content for accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with established learning outcomes
Foster a positive and interactive learning environment, encouraging participant engagement and knowledge retention
Gathering feedback from participants to continuously improve and refine training content and delivery methods
Stay abreast of technological advancements in training tools and platforms

KeyQualifications
L&D professional with proven experience designing interactive and impactful development programs and comprehensive learning journeys
Strong time management, multi-tasking, analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills
Project management, organization, and analytical skills
Service orientation and exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels
Prior training experience
Experience working with a learning management system
Do you have...
Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline orrelatedfield of study
5years of experienceworking with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with at least two years of experience in a Learning & Development Specialist, Training Specialist, or similar role
Working experience with various systems to include HRIS (UKG preferred), LMS, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, One Drive, and virtual learning platforms
