Job summary
MDS Scheduling upon admit and concurrently throughout the resident's stay Initiates Medicare certifications Enters MDS assessments and tracking records into PCC Prepares MDS scores for billing Monitors interdisciplinary team for timely completion of the MDS Provides guidance and education to Nurse Managers Social Workers Recreational Therapists Dieticians and other MDS staff for accurate coding of the MDS Sends clinical information to insurance companies for concurrent review Initiates NOMNC when insurance coverage is ending Submits MDS to CMS and obtains Casper reports when needed Completes tasks of other MDS staff in their absence Obtains insurance authorizations in the absence of the Admissions Manager
