- Uses AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor to create product drawings, incorporating required standards.
- Ability to review and interpret industry standards and apply as required.
- Creates and/or revises existing drawings based on customer requirements.
- Analyzes customer specifications to ensure drawings, routings and BOMs are complete and accurate.
- Generates standard and/or indented bill of materials (BOMs) that is used to construct each product.
- Creates Routings as required.
- Designs parts, assemblies, and components for new and existing products.
- Prepares shop travelers for each product.
- Creates detailed weldment and assembly drawings as required.
- Specifies and selects materials and components based on customer and/or industry requirements.
- Order materials for each job as required.
- Compiles Job Packages.
- Assists in training new Designers.
- Works with Customers to ensure all requirements are addressed and met.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED is required. 2 or 4 year degree is preferred.
- Strong blueprint reading skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Previous design experience in Autocad, Solidworks or Inventor is required.
