Job Description

As a Security Officer in Scarborough, ME, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a high-visibility presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support team members and visitors with outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, communicate clearly, and document events. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.

Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales areas, stock rooms, receiving areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

Monitor access points and delivery areas, verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and documenting entries, exits, and unusual activity per post orders.

Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
