- Assist in preparing daily lunches.
- Learn the various food stations and methods of display.
- Help maintain clean kitchen.
- Notify the Lead Cook of any equipment in need of maintenance or repairs.
- Develop a knowledge of State regulations.
- Learn the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, as necessary.
- High School and one-year previous related experience in school food service preferred.
- Serve Safe certification with appropriate experience and training (preferred).
- Familiarity with various point of sale systems (preferred).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and co-workers.
- Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies.

Job Purpose:
To prepare and present nutritious lunches throughout the school year. Also, after
Lunch has concluded to assist in kitchen clean-up.
