    Job Description and Duties

    This Job Control is listed until filled, applications will be reviewed on the following dates: 03/15/24, 03/29/24, 04/12/24, 04/26/24, 05/10/24, 05/24/24, 06/07/24

    Under the supervision of the Chief Physician and Surgeon, Correctional Facility (CF) the Physician Assistant assesses and manages the health care needs of patients in various clinical settings. The Physician Assistant performs physical examinations and therapeutic procedures; interprets routine laboratory and imaging results; and educates and counsels patients on matters regarding their well-being. The Physician Assistant may also be assigned call duties with supervision by a physician manager.

    Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a current Physician Assistant license for the State of California. Individuals eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.

    Working Conditions: Travel is required.
