    Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse "big data" sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.

    Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.

    Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.

    Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

    Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. 3-5 years relevant work experience.

    Successful candidate will have the following qualifications in addition to the skills listed:

    Able to balance and prioritize multiple concurrent projects effectively.

    Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable.

    Excellent communication skills.

    Ability to influence and provide thought leadership.

    Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.

    3-5 years in designing and developing data-driven solutions for large enterprises, Retail/Revenue Management/Supply Chain experience preferred.

    Responsibilities

    Develop and document algorithms and solution methodologies for solving retail business problems.

    Lead the team in creating scalable, repeatable solution architectures as well as model testing and monitoring processes.

    Develop and validate prototypes using statistical programming languages (like R and Python) and optimization software applications.

    Test proposed solutions on real data.

    Work closely with data engineers to optimize performance of algorithms.

    Work closely with the other team members to explain the business and analytics requirements.

    Present findings and approaches to internal teams for peer reviews and external audiences.

    Create patents and research innovative and forward-looking solutions for solving business problems.

    Review deliverables from related cross functional teams to ensure quality & traceability to requirements and adherence to all quality management plans & standards

    US:

    Hiring Range:
    from $65,600 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.


    Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

    Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

    Paid time off:
    Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits.

    For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.

    Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

    Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
