    Job Summary


    Under the general supervision of the Dietary Supervisor, Patient Services Manager or the Retail Manager, the Dietary Aide 2 displays and serves a variety of products in a high volume setting, or may act as an Aide in Patient Services.

    Responsible for setup, breakdown and sanitation of all Food Court and/or Patient Services serving areas while ensuring high quality food served at appropriate temperature.

    Rotation of all cold and hot food required during restocking, whether in the Food court, or in the Patient refrigerators for cold food holding.

    Knowledge of diets and allergies sufficient to serve patient meals accurately, or to answer guest questions in the Food Court.

    Continuous interaction with the public which necessitates positive customer relations. Performs computer-related activities such as cashiering and cash handling as required. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

    Qualifications


    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • Prior cashier experience in a hospital, commercial business or banking operation.
    • Ability to accurately follow oral and written instructions in English.
    • Fluency in Spanish is desirable.
    • Ability to accurately follow instructions when using, disposing, and mixing chemicals.
    • Ability to lift objects 25 lbs.
