    Description
    Role: ccountant
    Location: Madison, MS Onsite)
    Duration: 6 months (Possible Extension)
    Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM (Monday - Friday)

    Description:
    • Program Accountant
    • This position will be a direct report to the Corporate Accounting Manager and primarily work with the newly acquired TTS Division, along with other accounting-related tasks as needed.
    • The applicant will be responsible for handling and supporting our accounting department with day-to-day accounting activities.
    • You will also be responsible for maintaining accounting records such as profit and loss accounts, ledger accounts, and the balance sheet of the company.
    Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Program level ASC 606 Revenue Recognition analysis & documentation
    • Program Profit & Loss analysis
    • MonthEnd close duties
    • Project creation in ERP
    • Internal and External audit support
    • Using company ERP to perform monthly account reconciliations.
    • Maintaining Program Level General Ledger vs Subledger detail.
    • Journal Entry creation and processing as needed.
    • Resolving accounting anomalies/discrepancies as needed.
    • Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.
    • Other projects and initiatives as assigned.
    • Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the company.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Accounting, Business, or Finance) AND 0-2 years of related experience
    • 0-2 years of experience in GL accounting and Government Contract accounting preferred
    • SAP and Excel experience preferred
    • Attention to detail and a problem-solver
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a public trust position (if required for the position).
    • Must be able to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required.
    • Some travel may be required.
    • Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instructions.
    • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.
